Sew Along Schedule

 Week 4: Block C

Twinkling lights are my favorite part of holiday decorations, and stars are a great representation of that sparkling illumination. This week we are making the final round bauble in the quilt, and it features an eight pointed star in the center of the bulb.

Goals for Week 4

  • Block C

Fabric Placement

For this bauble, I suggest a solid or non-directional print for the main portion of the bauble. The remaining pieces are fairly small, but if you would like to include a fussy cutting aspect to the block, I would focus on the star points. In selecting fabrics for the star, try to contrast with the main bulb fabric to make it pop!

If you are interested in experimenting with fabric/color placement, I encourage you to try out your choices prior to stitching using the downloadable coloring sheets included with your pattern. You can access them on The (not so) Dramatic Life’s Festive Baubles page using the password printed on page two of your pattern.

That's it for week 4, we'll be back next week for Block E! We can’t wait to see what you make this week, so please remember to post your creations using the hashtag #festivebaublesquiltalong and tagging @DabbleandStitch
